Bali’s international airport (Ngurah Rai) now has E-Gates available to use for visa holders when they enter Bali. By using the E-Gates, tourists can bypass the traditional immigration counters upon arrival which should lead to a faster entry experience.
Using the E-Gates is simple. First, ensure that you have purchased and obtained your visa prior to arriving at Bali through the official site. When you receive your visa, it will have a QR code in the top right hand corner:

When prompted by the E-Gate, scan your visa QR code and then scan your passport. The E-Gate will then process your arrival and should let you straight through. Once you have successfully entered, you will receive an email with a visa stay permit from immigration. The email will will look similar to this:

You will need this email if you are planning to extend your Visa, so if you don’t receive it and you want the option to extend your Visa, please see immigration staff.
Currently, to use the E-Gate, you must have obtained a Visa for your travel. Those tourists travelling from Visa exempt countries will still be required to go through the normal immigration arrival counters for entry.
